The Foundation

The mares behind every horse

Selected for temperament and conformation

Our mare band is the heart of the stud. Each mare has been chosen not just for her pedigree but for her movement, her attitude, and the qualities she passes to her foals. These are horses that have done their job, and now they do an even more important one.

We take the selection of sires equally seriously — choosing stallions that complement each mare individually rather than following trends. The results speak for themselves in the quality and consistency of foals we produce year after year.

Breeding a good horse is a long game. It takes years of careful decisions, an honest eye, and the patience to let them find their feet. Quote  ·  Faside Stud

The Beginning

From the first day

Handled with care from birth

Every foal born at Faside Stud is handled from day one. Not rushed, not forced — but introduced to people, to routine, and to trust in a way that sets them up for everything that follows. It is quiet, consistent work that rarely makes headlines but makes all the difference.

By the time a youngster leaves the stud, it has manners and a willingness that no amount of schooling can retrofit. That foundation is what we are most proud of.

Family at Faside Stud

A Family Affair

A life with horses

More than a business — a way of life

Faside Stud is a family operation in the truest sense. The horses here are part of the fabric of daily life, and that is reflected in the way we work with them. There is no shortcut mentality when the animals you sell are also the ones you live alongside.

We sell with complete transparency — sharing everything we know about each horse, its history, its quirks, and its potential. We want buyers to find the right horse, not just any horse.
